Whitney Metzger
Board Member

Whitney believes in the potential of all kids, and has carried this in her work as a classroom teacher, in education nonprofits, and in education technology companies. She holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from Stanford University, a Master’s in Teaching from the University of San Francisco, and a M.Ed. in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from Stanford University.

From a health perspective, from a community building perspective, and from an education perspective, GVF2S aligns with Whitney’s values, passions, and interests. Whitney is excited to invest in an organization that supports connecting kids and families with local food systems through hands-on, authentic learning experiences.

In addition to her role on the board and her work in the education sector, Whitney stays busy playing in the mountains with her family, and enjoys cooking and preserving the bounty from her family’s garden and greenhouse.
