GVF2S helps create a school environment that teaches children about where their food comes from, the importance of making healthy food choices, and the role agriculture plays in our community.
GVF2S assists area schools in developing, maintaining and utilizing school gardens. We deliver hands-on science, language arts and math lessons utilizing the school garden as an outdoor classroom and teaching tool.
GVF2S assists schools in creating successful farm field trip experiences. To expand on the concepts learned at the farm, GVF2S teaches pre- and post-lessons in the classroom.
Seed to Snack campers will spend the week outdoors discovering where food comes from through hands-on gardening, cooking and science activities.
