Join Gallatin Valley Farm to School this summer at our 2020 food and farm camps! Our camps aim to deepen the connection between youth, the food system and the natural world through hands-on cooking, gardening and science activities; games; exploration; and more! All camps will include a farm field trip or farmer visit and activities in our mobile greenhouse, BOB, the Bozone Ozone Bus. Each session culminates with a parent celebration at 3:00 pm on the last day of camp for campers to present highlights from the week and share tastes of their homemade snacks.
This year, we are expanding our camp hours to run 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. We are also excited to announce a new middle school camp: Junior Top Chefs cooking camp!
Camps take place at the Story Mill Learning Gardens, school garden sites around Bozeman, and Montana State University. Locations will be updated as soon as they are confirmed.
GVF2S camps provide a unique, high quality camp experience. With a maximum of 16 children per session and a 4:1 camper to instructor ratio, campers enjoy a supportive, hands-on camp experience. Our camp instructors are CPR/first aid certified and are trained in experiential science, cooking and agriculture education.
Free lunch is provided for all sessions. All cooking camps include a delicious camper-prepared afternoon snack, too!
